Calibrate 2025: A HUGE Success

From January 24 to 26, 2025, youth leaders from across Ontario gathered together at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel for Calibrate Youth Ministry Convention 2025. It was a weekend of worship, workshops, and warm fellowship centred on the theme, “Practical Leadership: From Ideas to Influence”. Calibrate provided a unique opportunity for attendees to learn, connect, and be inspired as they embraced their calling to lead in youth ministry.

Calibrate kicked off with a powerful plenary service, featuring keynote speaker Pastor Michaela Lawrence Jeffery. Throughout the weekend, she encouraged attendees to reflect on how they perceived themselves, and assess whether those perceptions are positive or negative. Through her messages saturated with scripture and thought-provoking insights, she highlighted the importance of seeing a beautiful image of God before we can truly see a beautiful image of ourselves.

A moment of Praise & Worship.
A variety of workshops were offered to attendees, covering a range of topics. Among them, Pastor Samuel Sinnanainar led a session on Practical Evangelism, while Marco Monaco addressed Financial Matters. Hope Malabrigo facilitated a workshop on Mental Health & Burnout, delving into the challenges of leadership and spiritual burnout. This session provided a safe space for participants to share their personal ministry experiences and learn tools to recognize burnout before it sets in. In her workshop on Developing Spiritual Disciplines, Kaitlynn Harushimana used the powerful metaphor of spiritual and physical muscles, inspiring us to stay consistent in our spiritual growth.

As Calibrate came to a close, attendees had the opportunity to put their learning into action through hands-on labs. These sessions focused on developing practical leadership skills and empowering youth leaders in their roles while also fostering connections with fellow leaders.
