Called To Embrace Ministry
Natasha Nithiarajan, President
Metro North Central Youth Region
The journey to discovering one’s calling in ministry is often a lifelong process. Natasha reflects on her own path to finding her place and offers insights on how others can discover theirs as well. She currently serves as President of the Metro North Central Youth Region.
How did you get into this role and what would you suggest for someone interested in being a part of your team?
In truth, I was a nobody in a small church for a long time. It was truly the Holy Spirit that brought me into this role. Having now been in this position for 2 years, I would tell someone who is interested in being a part of our team, to reach out! Everyone’s blessed with talent that the Lord can magnify and enhance wherever it’s most needed. If you hear the Holy Spirit calling you to serve, all you have to do is message me, or anyone on the MNC team, and we will make it happen. We’re always looking for fresh minds and new ideas; nothing is impossible with God.
What have you been working on with your team for Metro North Youth Central?
Members of the Metro North Central Youth Association team in October 2024
This year our team has been working on creating community and communication. MNC is a region of affluent culture and wonderful people filled with small to large vibrant churches. We debuted our vespers series called R.I.S.E. UP (Revive, Ignite, Seek & Endure) as well as various highlight events such as our Leadership Retreat, Open Mic Nights, and Christmas Carol socials that enhance our youth and young adult community. Putting a successful 2024 into our back pocket, we have begun planning for 2025. Our mission for the upcoming year is to break down barriers, foster spiritual growth, and spread the gospel. We hope to empower individuals to live out their faith and build a stronger connection with God and a unified community that celebrates diverse voices and experiences.
As we approach the new year, Natasha is looking forward to the MNC team focusing on Unity in Christ, embracing spiritual growth, but most of all breaking down barriers and trusting the Lord.
