Young Professionals See Their Careers as a Calling!
On the weekend of November 8th, the Young Professionals Network (YPN) hosted its first annual convention. Young and seasoned professionals joined together for a transformative weekend of mentorship, networking, and spiritual growth.
The event kicked off on Friday night with an inspiring message from Michel Stanier, the Executive Vice-President of Business Development at Teledyne Digital Imaging. Stanier shared wisdom on staying committed to your faith, even in high-pressure professional settings, reminding attendees that "God is always faithful."
The next morning, attendees dove deep into the story of Daniel, exploring how he stayed true to his faith and applying Daniel’s story to ways that they can serve their church community. During the main service, Pastor Anthony Kern delivered a powerful message on being disciples by integrating faith and work.
On Sabbath afternoon, attendees engaged in two thought-provoking panel discussions. Seasoned professionals tackled questions like "How do I use my talents to serve my church community?" and "How can I align my work with God's purpose for my life?" The sessions were capped off by an inspiring charge from Pauline Christian, the Founder, President, and CEO of Best Lifestyle Residence. Christian encouraged the young professionals to pursue their goals with confidence, rooted in their faith.
To end the weekend, attendees participated in a wide range of practical workshops - from harnessing AI to achieving work-life balance.
Overall, the YPN conference empowered young professionals to see their careers as a calling, equipping them to be effective disciples for Christ in their workplaces and communities.
