CALIBRATE: YOUTH MINISTRIES CONVENTION
Imagine this: You’re a passionate youth leader with big dreams for your ministry but unsure how to turn ideas into real impact. That’s where Calibrate comes in. Leaders like you from across Ontario gather for a powerful weekend of connection, growth, and inspiration every two years. This year, from January 24-26, 2025, at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel, Calibrate invites you to step into "Practical Leadership: From Ideas to Influence."
You'll gain the tools to lead with purpose through worship moments that recharge your spirit, hands-on ministry labs, and workshops tackling real issues like mental health, diversity, and practical evangelism. Picture sharing ideas with like-minded peers, celebrating ministry wins, and leaving equipped to create meaningful change. With keynote speaker Pastor Michaela Lawrence Jeffery leading the charge, this is more than a conference—it’s a launchpad for your leadership journey. Your ideas matter; at Calibrate, you’ll learn how to turn them into an influence that transforms lives.
Empowering Leaders to be Kingdom Ambassadors
Keynote Speaker:
Pastor Michaela L. Jeffery
Michaela Lawrence Jeffery is the pastor for discipleship and congregational care at Takoma Park Seventh-day Adventist Church where she has been since June of this year. For the six and a half years prior, she was the pastor of the Athens Georgia Seventh-day Adventist Church. It was her time in Athens that taught her how to care for people by using the gifts and temperament God has given her, in other words, by being herself. That’s a key part of discipleship that she hopes to be able to help others grow to appreciate and enjoy. Indeed, God wants us to be the people he has made us to be.
Before moving to Georgia, Pastor Lawrence Jeffery was the Adventist Christian Fellowship director for Georgia-Cumberland Conference and campus minister at Advent House on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. During those eight years, she learned the value of inter-faith relationships as she became friends with other campus ministers. It’s also where she realized that telling someone about Jesus was not near as important as showing them Jesus through action and presence.
Pastor Lawrence Jeffery is married to Justin Jeffery, a graphic designer and pianist, and they have two smart and creative daughters.
